| | Yet again, these Kids make
everything wonderful. After a morning well spent with my sisters and
Mom shopping, a quick nap and a fantastic dinner with my family, it was
off to Mandy Bangor's for a Christmas Party. We had a room full of love
and lots of laughing, a freakin awesome White Elephant gift exchange,
and plenty of Catch Phrase (Gender Wars). Then we spent the rest of the
evening in the family room singing and talking. We got a little
segregated just by the way we all sat down because it's a little hard
to have one massive conversation with 10 or more people, but there is
just such a closeness with them all. I just love it.
Decision of the night: I think often "I don't think I could ever
______" whether the blank is "reach thirty and be alone" or "go to a
foreign country and know no one" or anything at all, but I realized
that I've already done things that I said before I thought I couldn't,
or would not make it through. Talking with Kristie, Andrea, and Lee
tonight we were discussing how it seems like we are selective in
"choosing our friends" because we are all intelligent, talented, and
fairly attractive. Not to toot our own horns, just that when we went
away to school we all found that most of our friends were on the better
half of the looks scale, and being "the Choir Kids" itself indicates
some level of musical prowess, and for some reason we're all pretty
smart. But I find that another thing we all have in common is that we
just DO things. maybe we're not always the best planners within our
group, but we are all people who don't let much hold us back. And I
like it Whether it's part of the faith
in God we all share as well, or a strength that can arise from being
able to depend on deep seated friendships, or just another thing that
led us to each other, or something else altogether, I am not sure. I
just think it's pretty cool.
SOOOO tired. goodnight! :).
